January Favourites

You see these blogposts and videos everywhere so I thought I'd do my own little January Favourites :)
These items are my go to items of this month. So lets begin.

First off is "M.A.C Studio Sculpt SPF15 Foundation". I've always been a fan of M.A.C foundations and I went through a phase where M.A.C foundation was all I used. Now I'm not sure that because it was all I used my skin didn't have any variety and it got used to it and when applied it made my skin look orange, which is not what you want! I then experimented with other foundations but none lived up to the quality and feeling of M.A.C foundations. I tried the Studio Sculpt as Zoe had spoken about it in one of her monthly favourites/haul on YouTube. It just looked flawless so I went out and bought some. I started off applying it with my fingers, but I didn't really like doing that, so I went out and bought the "Real Techniques stippling brush". I apply it in circular motions so it looks blended in and airbrushed. Studio Sculpt gives me really good coverage, which is a must in foundations for me as I have quiet bad red scarring from going on Roacataine. I tend to use this if I'm going out or I know I am going to have a long day.

Another M.A.C product that I have been loving is the "Mineralize Skin finish in Soft and Gentle". I think this is a staple product to own. It is just so gorgeous! I use it as a highlighter, which I apply to the tops of my check bones and under my eyebrow bone. It also looks beautiful just applied as eyeshadow and looks amazing applied into the corners of your eyes. I will definitely be purchasing another one of these soon, maybe in the shade "Stereo Rose".

Eye shadow this month, yep you guessed it. M.A.C eye shadow in the shade "cork" has been my favourite eye shadow this month and it is simply divine. It is very pigmented and can be worn as just a light coat or you can build it up to create a brown smokey eye look.

Lipstick this month was from Topshop. When I went in I couldn't decided if I just wanted to play it safe and get a reddy/orange colour or play it up and take a risk and get this colour and push myself out of my boundaries (because this is the year to do it!). I ended up buying this lipstick which is in the shade "Inhibition", which is a deep purple/magenta. It applies beautifully and is very pigmented... Did I also mention that it smells amazing like mixed berries!! It is mouth watering. I do however think I need to buy a lip liner as it is quiet dark. If I don't want it to be so dominate I just apply a really really light coat and then just tap my finger to blend it in and then apply a lip gloss.

Following with the Topshop purchases, I bought their "Khol eyeliner" in the shade Saddle. I've been meaning to buy this every other time that I've gone into Topshop and my last trip in there I just decided to get it. It is a very nice dark coffee brown and applies so smoothly. It has tiny tinsy flecks of goldy/bronze shimmer which I think is a cute little bonus.

My last favourite is the "M.A.C Bad, Bad Opulash Mascara". This mascara goes on perfectly and gives you length as well as super dooper thickness which is something I like in a mascara. You only have to apply a few coats to get serious thickness. There isn't really anything I can fault about this mascara. I definitely want to try out more of the M.A.C mascaras, just because I can :)

I congratulate you if you made it to the end, this blog feels like its taken forever to write. Look out next month for more favourites!
xx Bronte

woah, look out first beauty product review!!

Now I'm not really a face wipe kinda gal. I did however go through a stage where all I used was face wipes, but I could never find one that didn't tug on my skin and was moisturising at the same time.. untill now. I discovered "Johnson's face care daily essentials nourishing facial cleansing wipes" (could it get any longer!) the other week and I swear I am never turning back! Out with the face wipes that leave my skin sore and red from driness of the wipe and in with this beautiful product. I literally swipe gently over my face and my make up comes off without a fuss, even when I have lots of mascara on. It leaves my skin feeling silky and soft and mositursed, which lets face it is all you want at the end of the day.
